- Perhentian Island, or Pulau Perhentian as the locals call it, is well known as a marine paradise and forms a parts of the National Marine Park of Malaysia.

Take a jungle trek up the hills under a canopy of large trees, and you might see wild magpies, giant fruit bats or the Nicobar Pigeon. Perhentian Island lies along the flight path of this migratory bird. You might also see the harmless monitor lizard or even the unique Lutong monkey species.
- The nearest jungle trail is less than 100 metres away from our resort.

- Kindly be informed that the Government of Malaysia will be imposing Tourism Tax
effective from 1st September 2017. All tourists staying in hotels and resorts are
required to pay the tax at the rate of RM10 per room per night. Exemption of tax is
applicable for Malaysian nationals or permanent residents of Malaysia holding a valid
My PR card. The tax is payable at the reception counter and a receipt will be issued by
the resort on behalf of the Government of Malaysia.

- All rates quoted are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and inclusive of 6% SST.
- Should any Government authorities in Malaysia increase or decrease the percentage
of tax collected on room and/ or meals and/ or service charge, Perhentian Island
Resort (“PIR”) reserves the right to adjust the rates within the agreed period in
accordance to alterations to the prevailing government tax and service charge. All
rates are subject to change without prior notice. The Malaysian Marine Department
has imposed an entrance fee to Pulau Perhentian Marine Park. This fee will be paid
directly by guest at the Marine Park counter located at Kuala Besut Jetty and subject
to change by the state government.
- Boat Transfer: PIR will not be liable for refunds or losses/ damages, should the
guest(s) not be able to enter the island due to bad weather conditions or any accident
during the transfer. Package prices are quoted on the basis that the guest takes all the
services stated in the package. There is no refund for any non-utilized of services in
the package. Reservation cancellations within 72 hours to arrival date, is non
refundable.
- Reservation cancellations within 7 working days to arrival date, a 50% will be charged
base on the price. Failure to arrive at hotel will be treated as a No-Show and no refund
will be given. Check-out is at 12:00 noon. Extension of check-out time up to 3:00 pm
will be subject to a surcharge of 50% of the applicable room rates. Check-out after
6:00 pm will be subjected to 1 night room charge. All extensions will be subject to
room availability only.
