Tourism Ethics Polic

Effective Date: August 2025

At Jomlar.com, we uphold ethical tourism values that prioritize the wellbeing of animals, the respect for local communities, and the protection of the natural environment.

Our platform supports responsible experiences that educate, inspire, and preserve — never exploit. We collaborate only with operators who share this mission.

Our Core Principles

  • No promotion of animal shows or forced performances
  • No support for hunting, baiting, or sedating animals for photos
  • No listing of experiences that sell or consume wild animal products
  • No tolerance for exploitation of animals or local cultures

Animal Welfare Commitment

All animal-based activities must meet these five internationally accepted domains:

  • Nutrition: Access to clean water and appropriate diet
  • Environment: Safe, clean, and natural habitat
  • Health: Veterinary care and disease prevention
  • Behavior: Freedom to exhibit natural behaviors
  • Mental State: Minimization of stress, fear, or pain

Approved Experience Types

Wildlife in Nature

Only certified, non-intrusive tours (e.g., whale watching, eco safaris) are permitted. No chasing, luring, or disturbing wildlife is allowed.

Sanctuaries & Rescue Centres

We work with accredited sanctuaries focused on care and conservation. Venues used solely for entertainment or tourism are excluded.

Zoos & Aquariums

We accept listings from WAZA-accredited institutions only. All interactions must be educational and supervised by professionals.

Elephant-Related Activities

We do not permit elephant rides or performances. We support rescue sanctuaries using ethical care methods and focusing on habitat preservation.

Your Role as a Traveler

Tourists help shape the industry. Choose experiences that reflect compassion and respect for nature. Avoid tours that involve harm or exploitation.
