Begin your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel lobby and enjoy a 1 hour 30 minutes scenic overland drive to Mt. Alab Crocker Range Substation. Please have an early breakfast before departure.
Upon arrival, meet the park ranger and trekking guide for registration, a safety briefing, and a short session on the Do’s and Don’ts of the trail.
Your journey starts on The Wilderness Mininduk Sirung Trail — a 12 km trail that promises an authentic rainforest experience. The terrain is muddy and rugged, blanketed with fallen leaves, branches, and tree roots, creating a unique “carpet-like” or spongey forest floor beneath your feet.
As you trek, you’ll pass through the mystical Mossy Forest, then transition into the lush Tropical Forest, before reaching a stunning bamboo forest — a perfect spot for breathtaking photos and a moment to take in nature’s tranquility.
The trail ends at the Mahua Waterfall Crocker Range Substation, where a late lunch awaits. Relax and refresh yourself by the cool, cascading waterfalls, surrounded by the serene sounds of nature.
