On Day 2, trek steadily through changing forest zones to Laban Rata Resthouse, where you’ll rest before making your summit push to Low’s Peak (4,095 m) at dawn on Day 3. After descending, continue to Poring Hot Springs to soak in mineral-rich waters and rejuvenate tired muscles.

Conclude your journey with a relaxed drive back to Kota Kinabalu, reflecting on your summit achievement and highland adventures.

DAY 2

Kinabalu Park HQ / Timpohon Gate / Panalaban Base Camp

Start your morning with breakfast at Liwagu Restaurant.
Collect your packed lunch before your registration process.

Proceed to Park HQ for climb registration and briefings.
The team will assist with all required climbing documents.
You will receive your permit, ID tag, and assigned guide.

Transfer to Timpohon Gate (1,866m) for your climb start.
Begin a 4–6 hour ascent through changing mountain ecosystems.
Walk from mossy oak-chestnut forests into higher alpine zones.
Enjoy scenic rest stops and shelter huts along the trail.

Arrive at Panalaban Base Camp (3,272m) in late afternoon.
Check into your shared dormitory at Laban Rata Resthouse.
Enjoy a warm buffet dinner before your early rest time.
Prepare well for tomorrow’s summit attempt at dawn.

DAY 3

Low’s Peak Summit / Descend to Park HQ / Transfer to Poring Hot Springs

Rise early for a light supper before your summit ascent.
Begin the final climb toward Low’s Peak in darkness.
This section is challenging but deeply rewarding for climbers.
Reach the 4,095.2m summit by sunrise if weather allows.
Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the mountain summit.

Descend back to Panalaban Base Camp for late breakfast.
Check out and prepare for your trek downward.

Continue descending toward Timpohon Gate afterward.
A vehicle will transfer you to Park HQ.
Receive your Certificate of Achievement at the headquarters.

Enjoy a well-earned buffet lunch at Liwagu Restaurant.
Then transfer overland to Poring Hot Springs in Ranau.
Check in to Serindit Hostel upon your arrival there.
Spend your evening at leisure amid rainforest surroundings.

DAY 4

Poring Hot Springs / Return to Kota Kinabalu

Connect with the climbers’ shuttle bound for Kota Kinabalu.
Arrival time will vary based on traffic and shuttle timing.
Private transfers are available if arranged earlier for convenience.
